How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

Not good but getting better.
Getting closer to the North Country 50 miler, now just 3 weeks away. Dora tried to beg her way in because Fat Dog got canceled, but to no avail. There are like 100 people on the waiting list.
After a 2 hour run yesterday, I had a nice 3:30 run at Kilbride with the Captain today for a 2 day total of 5:30. We ran the Iroquois Trail Test 32K course, we will have to see how our times would do in the race. We can't run the actual race, my Michigan 50 miler is the next weekend. Captain's time was 3:23, I was 3:30. I think Cyrus killed this race last year in around 3:03.
Plans are coming together for a major road trip to Las Vegas,Arizona and Utah. Sweet.
