I just got back from my doctor. It turns out I'm just a bit of a crybaby. As you can see, my X-ray shows no broken ribs, so he thinks I'll be able to hit the trails (not to mention get back to work) in a couple of weeks. Sweet. I'll take it.
I hope I haven't lost all my fitness by then. I'll be missing the Sporting Life 10K on Sunday, "The Boy" is going to pace Portage. Looks like my next race is the Back "2" Back on June 4th/5th.
I feel better already.

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."
