How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

The Pylons Go to Ohio-Day 1 and Day 2, The Anticipation

To recap,we lost a couple of warriors even before we began. Dora broke her toe when she dropped a dumb-bell on her foot. Phantom slid off the 2:16 bridge and got a nasty sprain of the ankle, which required crutches. Both of you guys were missed on this trip, but the good news is, Captain is already planning next years events.
I've got an idea, let's stop at Applebee's!

The Applebee's Burger (Again)
I require beer. Let's stop at TOPS!
So, on Friday, we hit the road. After parking the Captain's car in Eddie's next door neighbour's driveway for a while(those mansions all look alike to us city boys) we located the proper house and waited for Swiss to arrive in the rental van. Then it was off to Ohio for The Bobcat Trail Marathon. What could go wrong? Turns out, more than we expected!
More to come...................

  1. Drink some Yuengling while you're there!

  2. I decided to go for quantity over quality, and got a 30 pack of "Milwaukee's Best" for $15.00. I have had Yuengling before, I thought it was very good for a Chinese beer, then found out it was from Pennsylvania!
