How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

I Am Confused

First of all, didn't I just take the stoopid Christmas Lights down? It isn't even December yet.I like to leave them up until March Break.
I Know It's A Shitty Picture, It Was Dark and Raining.
Anyhoo, a sad reality has settled in. If I want to continue drinking as much beer as I am used too, I'm going to have to start exercising again.I have pretty much abandoned running/biking and stuck to the weights. Not good, as I watched my weight climb.
Doh.

Who Let The Dog Out? Who, who? First Snowfall this week.

So, I plan to have the best running year ever in 2011, 150lbs. will (hopefully) be my starting weight in April, and I will (hopefully) see a few PB's.  First up is a sub-1:40 half-marathon. Hard to believe I have never done that. Perhaps a sub 3:35 marathon as well to qualify for you-know-what, even though I wouldn't run it.
Hope to run a 50 miler, taking it easy with the triathlons.
 I can't wait!
