How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

Proud of The Boy

Gonna Miss Having This Guy Around The House
Well, the boy has made us all proud. He done graduated 12th grade and is off to University in Halifax, one of our favourite places. His final two choices came down to West Coast (UBC) and the East Coast (Dalhousie). It was the cooler weather and lobsters with claws that tipped the scale to the East. Funny, we just got back from the West Coast and it was 20˚C, and went to the East Coast, and it was 30˚C, not to mention a hurricane on Saturday.
Dalhousie has a real small town feel, you can walk the whole campus in no time.We ran into the other families from our 'hood in Toronto who also have kids going to "Dal".
When Ben was born, Women's College Hospital, where he was delivered, was in lock-down due to the Rodney King riots back in May 1992. So, move in day at University is Hurricane Earl, the first hurricane to hit Halifax since Juan in 2003. My big sister wonders what will happen Graduation Day.
Hurricane Earl Hit Halifax On Saturday,Sept. 4th 2010, Move In Day
So we have dropped The Boy off, I'll miss having my kitchen helper as well as having my internet grammar constantly corrected.See you at Thanksgiving!
We Have a Toast For the University Student at the Halifax Airport. Have a Great Year, Ben!
