How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

Tennessee to Ohio

This is what a thunderstorm looks like when it's 90˚+ out. Cyrus wisely pulled off the highway.

This is the parking lot where we stopped at Appleby's for vittles.A river and a lake.

The boys watch a bit of world cup soccer while waiting for their food.

The usual meal from Appleby's. Never disappoints. No more fries for a while.

The PT Cruiser arrives at Burr Oak Resort Lodge near Nowhere, Ohio.

Just letting the Beaver know who's #1.

Burr Oak Lake. The water is over 80˚F.This is the view from the Lodge.

Cyrus checks out the lake.
Warm water, I will have to go for a swim tomorrow.
This is the Pylons signing up for our next road trip, the Bobcat Trail Marathon++ in November. Why not? We are staying in the cabins at this same resort. We ran part of the course,it's all good. Deer everywhere as well.
One of the cabins we are staying in come November. Full kitchen and fridge. We hope to get 10 Pylons out for this one.

The Pylons run into the sunset.............
