It was Portages 50th , and her "little" brother decided to take us fishing. Very nice of him, I'm sure he burned a couple hundred bucks worth of gas. Anyhow, we set out from Nanaimo and headed north towards Nanoose. It was cool to see the area we want to live from the water looking in. On our way out, we set 2 crab traps and 4 prawn traps. We would collect them late afternoon, after fishing and having lunch.

Anyhow. when we arrived home, the girl, who had been in North Carolina at the same time we were in B.C., decided to buy her old dad a gift.Six gifts, actually. How well does she know me?
Anyhow, that's it for the holiday, more eating, drinking, relaxing etc. followed, then an easy flight home.
Next up, some beautiful storms in Toronto, and no excuses for the North Country 50 miler!
