How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

Day 2 Running On The Beach, Which is Nice.

Still training for the 50 miler, so it's not all sitting around and shopping. Portage and me decided to go for an early morning run, and when we got to the beach it was at low tide.Perfect firm sand and some technical rocky stuff.
Things were a little technical getting down to the sand....

Oceanside house for sale......

Low tide in Parksville B.C.

Perfect for running

Portage bringing it...........

Bringing the water

Mt. Arrowsmith. We were up there yesterday.

Some driftwood

Stream crossing as the tide comes back in.

Easy does it, if you slip here, you would break something.

Hedges here are amazing, they have a 10 month growing season.

That's a hole for the gate down at the end.

Cedar tree
So we ran for 90 minutes, I would do a 4 hour run the next day while Portage shopped. Sunny and 23˚ everyday, it was nice to escape the heatwave in Toronto.
