How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

Barefoot Running?, A Real Burger, and "Did Al Gore Lie To Us About Global Warming?"

Well, after some forced time off due to the back injury, I'm going to put in one more 3.5 hour trail run before Pennsylvania. I just got some New Balance Minimus shoes, they're as close to barefoot running as I am ever going to get.
Brand New New Balance Minimus, right out of the box. Pylon orange!
After the first trail run. That looks better.
Stoopid clay sticks to everything. Except Pearl Izumis.
This is what the proper ratio of Burger to Bun looks like. The "Digger Burger".
The Cee-ment Pond. That's solid ice, folks. Photo taken 3 days before the Traditional Pool Opening Day. For the past 6 years, that day has been April 1st. I'll be lucky to open it by May 1st this year. If you click on the photo and look closely you can see Coal letting us know how she feels about the whole situation.
So how about that Global Warming? Oh, yeah, it's "Climate Change" now. I guess once Al Gore has made enough money, he'll confess he "just made that shit up".
What's the weather like this morning? It's 2˚C and snowing a little bit.
Doh.
