How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

There's No Doubt About It. I Hate Tapering!

Man, you would think I couldn't wait for a rest. But all I can think about is losing fitness and gaining weight. With that in mind, today was a rest day, so I ran with Mrs. Digger for 40 minutes in the ravine. Then I did an hour on the bike. Then swam for 30 minutes.
Anyhoo, as far as the run goes, we started out and found our way blocked by a new tree fall. Cool, it crushed one of the permanent snow fences. Then another nice section with a tree we had to duck.

All the rain has made for a more interesting run.In 2 days, this will be dry(I hope).

Things are getting overgrown after all the rain. Is that hill big enough for you?

Can I get fries with that?
Next up, as soon as we cross the border, I'm getting the KFC Double Down, X2.No freakin' bun!
Three more sleeps, as Dora would say.
