How To Approach an Ultra or Ironman

Jordan Rapp quote sums it up!

This Jordan Rapp quote sums it up.
"It's about the process. It doesn't matter what you do tomorrow and it doesn't matter what you did yesterday. It's about today, and making today count. That's especially true in training, but it's the same mentality that I carry into racing. Focus on the task at hand, not on the finish line, or the next part of the race, but what it is that is right there in front of you in the moment."

June. Tennessee Road Trip & A Triathlon

I am ramping up the miles for the big  Tennessee 60 mile stage race on June 18,19,20, but first,I  have a triathlon coming up on June 6th to deal with.
Checking my training log -
March-I ran 168 miles Bike 3:40 hours Swim 0:00 minutes
April-  I ran 186 miles Bike 0:00 hours Swim 0:00 minutes
May -  I ran 246 miles Bike 10.5 hours Swim 0:05 minutes

Two races upcoming in June

Woodstock Triathlon on June 6th.

Goals;
1000m Swim -Under 18:00 minutes
32k Bike-Under 1:00 hour
8k run-Under 34 minutes
Total- I would like to be under 1:55:00 with transitions included,
hopefully a top 3 in my age category.
It should be fun, as I'm going Mano e Mano with This Guy.

Tennessee 60 mile stage race on June 18,19, 20. Chattanooga. Hot and Humid.

Goals
1st stage -22 miles-3:45
2nd stage-18 miles-2:45
3rd stage-20 miles-3:40

Shooting for 10:10 and a top 3 in the 50+.

Not knowing the course (3 mountains in 3 days), it will be interesting to see how close my guesses are.

What could go wrong?
